Abraham and Sarah Part 2
By: Tabitha Norvell Insuliteangel29@gmail.com
Yesterday I shared with you the beginning of Abraham and Sarah's journey to having a baby at the ages of 90 and 100 years of age. In today's world most people don't live that long, and if they do it is really hard to imagine them having children at that age. But I think that is the point at times with God. He does things that we could not even imagine being possible. He blesses us with things that we could never have dreamed of. So keep your heads up, keep the faith and know that God hears your cries and knows whats in your heart.
Genesis 18:10
Then one of them said, "I will return to you about this time next year, and your wife, Sarah, will have a son!"
Again God is promising that even though they are older in age they will have the blessings that God has promised them.
Genesis 18:12
So she laughed silently to herself and said, " How could a worn-out woman like me enjoy such pleasure, especially when my master- my husband- is so old?"
Sarah laughs at God and questions his promise. She doubts that she will be blessed with the promises and gifts from God. God hears her laugh and hears her question.
Genesis 18:14
Is anything to hard for the Lord? I will return about this time next year, and Sarah will have a son."
The Lord explains to Abraham that there is nothing to big for the Lord to accomplish. He can make all of our dreams and wishes come true. He can do things that we never thought possible, He can bless us with babies, he can heal our PCOS he can do anything that we need him to do.
Genesis 21:1-2
The Lord kept his word and did for Sarah exactly what he had promised. She became pregnant and she gave birth to a son for Abraham in his old age.
Genesis 21:6-7
And Sarah declared, " God has brought me laughter. All who hear about this will laugh with me. Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse a baby? Yet I have given Abraham a son in his old age!"
God keeps his promises. No matter how old, how sick, how heartbroken, it doesn't matter what it is that you are suffering through. If you believe in God, believe in his word, believe that he hears your cries and wants to bless you with the gifts he has for you, He will take care of you. If you trust him with everything that you are, trust that he will take care of you, and trust that he hears your cries, GOD will take care of you. God will answer your prayers, God will bless you with whatever it is your heart desires, as long as you are living your life for him, as long as you believe in him and trust in Him.
